Plastic and Metal.

When you think about it, those are the main components used to build the device you're using to read this, whether it's a laptop, tablet, or phone.  They're the main ingredients to create an extraordinary experience that would've been considered science fiction just a few decades ago. This distinctive assortment of plastic and metal opens the possibility for you to read this page, even if we're on opposite sides of the globe.

Technology is remarkable. Magical. Art.

The advancement of modern technology and the internet is unlike anything this world has ever seen. This futuristic, creative thinking and universal adoption is what draws me to it. My curiosity for "how does all of this work" and my propensity to figure things out are the reasons I have chosen to pursue my career in this sector.

Currently, I am employed by Accenture, an innovative consulting firm known for pushing the envelope to make our clients leaders within in their respective industries. As an Infra Tech Support Analyst, I bring our personnel closer to technology and help them maximize efficiency, ensuring that they can collaborate with one another as well as our clients around the world. I empower the users of our firm by ensuring technology remains a useful asset rather than a hurdle. My role affords me the opportunity to regularly work with cutting edge technologies, and to learn both front-end and back-end functionality.

I am proud to say that I am a graduate of Per Scholas Institute for Technology. I am a holder of the CompTIA A+, Network+, Mobility+, and Security+ Certifications. In the coming months, I will begin studying to obtain the CySA+ and CCNA. In the future, I plan to transition into cybersecurity. As technology continues to grow, so do the attacks to exploit vulnerabilities. I will be pivotal member of an organization's cybersecurity team to thwart those threats.

03 Journey

2009

Morgan State University

I studied management at Morgan State University for one year. Left early due to financial hardship.

2013

Strong Families Inc

The economy started to improve. I had the opportunity to work at a family-owned community outreach organization. While here, I implemented a complete contextual overhaul of our website and managed the SEO settings, which resulted in a 20% increase in site traffic. I knew I wanted to pursue a career in technology, but I didn't know in what capacity and I wasn't sure how to kickstart the change.

2014

Per Scholas Institute for Technology

I learned about Per Scholas while attending Streetwise. Per Scholas is a 14-week comprehensive hands-on course that prepares students for the CompTIA A+ and Network+ exams. I studied hard and earned both certifications. I also earned the Mobility+ certification.

Accenture

I am now an Infra Tech Support Analyst and operate as Tech Lead for the Accenture Interactive studio in NYC. In my role, I support a Mac and PC user base of 500+ by

administering face-to-face level II support by resolving hardware, software, and networking related issues. I also work collaboratively to deploy pioneering infrastructure technology pieces (e.g. Surface Hubs, Cyviz Walls, digital signage) and provide post-launch support. It's a challenging and rewarding role.

2017 -

2008

Monsignor Scanlan High School

Graduated from Monsignor Scanlan High School. Go Crusaders!

2009-2012

Odd Jobs

This was a tough time. The recession hit and it was really hard to find steady work let alone begin building a career. Worked a few odd jobs here and there, but nothing that I found to be meaningful nor rewarding. I did however discover my passion for technology during this time.

2013

Streetwise Partners

Attended Streetwise Partners' 13-week career ventures program as a mentee. This program was invaluable as I learned a lot about myself professionally and even personally. I uncovered my strengths and  realized that I wanted to begin my career in IT support;  it complements my desire to help others and it's the perfect gateway to a career in IT.

2014 - 2017

Cleary Gottlieb

I landed my first IT support role at the BigLaw powerhouse Cleary Gottlieb as a Service Desk Analyst. During my time at CGSH, I provided level I and II technical support to 1300+ users in the firm's NYC office as well as remote back-up support for 15 international offices. It was a great firm with great people. I got a rock-solid technical foundation and learned how to deliver stellar support.

EXPERIENCEO

Danny Kerry

He doesn't shy away from difficult or mundane tasks. He has a quiet confidence and learns new skills extremely fast. Josh would be a valuable asset to any team.
